"Change of Scene" Bursary

Funded by Int. British Theatre School

Why do we offer this?

Growing up, I spent thousands travelling to acting courses in London, despite not having funding from external sources.

Pot-washing, a paper round and carol singing in the streets funded this. But starting a career was still very expensive and there is a distinct lack of bursaries for students under 18.

On these courses I learnt about 'exploring the space', 'team building' and 'finding your voice' - which are all important lessons... but if you're paying out thousands for an acting course, you want something tangible too which can give you the tools to launch you straight into professional film and TV work, such as:

  • A professionally retouched Headshot

  • A showreel scene shot with 4K cameras

  • Q&A's with Agents, Casting Directors & other Industry Pros

  • Access to a 24/7 Global community of actors after your course

  • Access comprehensive list of everyone-whose-anyone in the UK / EU performance Industry.

I never got this got this as a teenager, and in addition to spending all of my pot-washing money on expensive London Training, I would then need to go out and pay for Headshots & showreels which cost me thousands of pounds.

That's why we set up these camps and the Change of Scene Bursary.

And that's why offer 10% of students on our courses a Change of Scene Bursary to fund 75% of their course costs.

Accessibility to great training is also why we run the courses regionally and in the EU. Its a safer, less stressful environment which saves money in travel costs and London accommodation whilst providing the same quality of training you'd get in London - we bring the industry to you.

Teachers should travel to the students, not the other way around. Students in the EU don't need to jump on a plane, you can join one of the EU locations.

To find out how to apply for the Change of Scene Bursary and our team will look forward to reviewing your audition.

If you're totally lost on where to start your career in the Arts industries, I think you only need a week to test the water and be pointed in the right direction for a successful career and get on going support. That's what we are here to do.

I wish you the best for your audition.

Kind regards
